Quase um ano sem postagem! Sim, infelizmente este não foi um dos melhores anos para os fãs da Missy Elliott. E aliado à falta de tempo dos moderadores e a inatividade da rapper, nosso blog tinha a aparência de morto.

Você provavelmente não deve conhecê-lo, mas foi no Sista, onde toda a carreira da Missy começou.
Junto com La Shawn Shellman, Chonita Coleman e Radiah Scott, Missy Elliott formou um grupo de R&B, onde Timbaland era o seu produtor, ou seja, tudo que Missy é hoje, seja em relação de amizades, quanto a relação musical se deve ao seu primeiro grupo.
Fazendo demos, Missy conseguiu chamar a atenção de produtores, e posteriormente tornando-se cantora da Elektra.

Muito pouco se sabe sobre o Sista e muito menos músicas são disponíveis na internet. Mas graças a grande ajuda de um amigo da comunidade Missy Elliott Official, podemos ter acesso a três músicas do tão raro e seleto Sista:

You probably do not know them, but Sista were the first Missy Elliott´s band.
Together with La Shawn Shellman, Chonita Coleman e Radiah Scott, Missy sang some music, and made some demos for labels. With Sista, she had the opurtunity to know Timbaland, and after they become close friends, he made many songs for them.
With good demos, Missy got a contract with Elektra, and started her solo carreer.
